This work has been influenced and created during my time completing my BA (Hon) at UCA Farnham, some of this work has been exhibited nationally. This period of my practice was exploring both personal and historical connections with the, women’s bodily experiences and ecology of our landscape .
This is cast plaster inverted sunflowers, growing and dying sunflower seeds real turf and soil. This work explore the female biological cycle, the pain of childbirth, life and ageing.
Blinded by the View
Dirty sheep fleece and builders mesh, this work was stopping the view from the window, and was shown as part of the Gustav Metzger exhibition in collaboration with the Serpentine Gallery in London.
“Dystopian land” This work used the insides of technology, being a gaming system, this was then cast in laster and placed in a setting of disused materials from the home and environment. This work was exhibited at Bath Fringe Arts Festival.
“Redox creation” and “The Fun has Gone” Progressing my themes with tech and industry, these works explore, the power and decay of metal and machinery that holds onto its history and memories connected with humanity.
